WHAT IS IT?
Tunnelling the barrier is an online space for young scientists to read about and comment on issues that concern science and society.
This could mean anything from musings on a scientific finding, to thoughts on education, science policy, social embedding of science, or the discussion of the science behind a topic in the news.
WHY DOES IT EXIST?
We want to give to people the opportunity to see through the eyes of a young scientist the situation in science and society at the moment.
In a few words we want to make science public, up to the point where everyone can actually be informed enough to contribute!
We are PhD students from the ACRITAS (Marie Curie) network [www.acritas.eu]. We want to share with people who are passionate about science the opportunity to air their views and engage with the community.
Everyone, no matter their educational background, is more than welcome to leave a comment here (or, for the brave ones, to post on this blog).
Just drop us a message. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have.
